Biography
Künstler studied art at Brooklyn College, U.C.L.A. and Pratt Institute. After graduating he worked as a freelance artist in New York, where he received assignments from book and magazine publishers. In 1953, he supplied painted covers for several Classics Illustrated titles, including Pitcairn's Island and A Study in Scarlet.[2] He drew covers and other art for paperback books and men's adventure magazines. Künstler completed at least three cover illustrations and two inside illustrations every month, for MagazineManagement alone. During this time he published under at least two pen names, Martin Kay and Emmett Kaye ('plays' on his initials of "M" and "K"). Künstler said, "The editors didn't want it to look like one person was doing all the art."[citation needed] He also did art for Auroramodel kit boxes, such as the Raising the Flag on Iwo Jima kit. He used the alias "Mutz" to draw back covers for issues of Mad Magazine,[3] and did posters for movies such as the original The Poseidon Adventure and the original The Taking of Pelham One Two Three.
In 1982, a commission from CBS-TV to do a painting for the 3-part mini-series The Blue and the Gray (televised November 1982) directed Mr. Künstler's interest towards the Civil War. Although the research was painstaking, he devoted much time to making sure that his painting The High Water Mark was meticulously correct. The painting was unveiled at the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum on July 2, 1988 in celebration of the 125th anniversary of the battle.
Artwork
Künstler's artwork features dramatic interpretations of American historical events, namely, the American Civil War. The majority of Künstler paintings are done in oil on canvas. They are sold as mass-produced reproductions sold at print shops and through the internet.
Over the years (since the late 1990s and/or early 2000s), the Postal Commemorative Society [PCS] has offered a Civil War commemorative envelope set known as the "Philatelic History of the Civil War featuring artwork by MKünstler." The 100 envelopes in this collection are cacheted [cachet -- kă / shā : a commemorative illustration on an envelope or post card created by an individual or company] with Künstler's Civil War artwork (in part/detail and whole); include Civil War related commemorative postage stamps; and, are postmarked on an anniversary date of the event commemorated on the envelope. The envelopes and accompanying "Fact Cards" are available only through a 'subscription service' at the rate of four envelopes/cards per month. Though recent advertising literature mentions the 150th anniversary of the Civil War, the collection itself is not a sesquicentennial commemorative [years of postmarks found in one completed collection are 1996 and 2005 through 2013].

Alexander Wissotzky Tanya Wissotzky and Alexander Galtchansky were born in the same year, 1959, in Crimea (U.S.S.R.). Their careers began in art school. Alexander studied in Dnepropetrovsk and Wissotzky in Simferopol. They continued their studies at the Kiev institute of the Arts; Wissotzky as a painter and Alexander as a book illustrator. After getting married, they immigrated to Israel. Having found themselves in a drastically different situation and place, they united their creative activities and began working together. They work in acrylic, pen and ink, and collage on specially prepared canvas. In their still-life’s, one can see the excerpts of calligraphy from old English flower painting manuals as well as other calligraphic quotations that celebrate Paris in the 1920’s and other places and periods. Their artwork has a nostalgic and romantic quality, harkening back to a time past. Tanya succumbed to cancer and passed away in November of 2006. Sadly, Alexander passed away shortly afterwards in 2008 The work of Alexander and Wissotzky has received critical acclaim and success in both Israel and abroad and can be found in public and private collections all over the world. They have had exhibitions at many World Art Expos, Royal Carribean Luxury Cruise Liners, BLD New York, Royale Galleries Inc. New York, Galaxy Gallery in Gotenburg, Sweden, Geissing Design Institution in Hamburg, Germany, and even a permanent exhibition at the Binyanei Hauma in Jerusalem. A book on their life and work has also been published.

ROBERT LEBRON (March 13, 1928 - August 31, 2013)
Perhaps Thomas Hoving, former Director of New Yorks Metropolitan Museum of Art, had Lebron, along with Goya, in mind when he wrote in his latest book that paintings executed entirely with the palette knife is an extremely difficult technique.
Lebron was born in New York City. At the age of five, his parents separated. Robert went to Puerto Rico to live with a fisherman cousin who entertained him with tales of the sea. For four years Robert listened and with old grocery bags and pencils serving as canvas and palette knife he sketched his cousins tales. Thus, at age five, he started his lifetime devotion to art.
At the age of 14, he was admitted to New Yorks High School of Music and Arts. After three years, his youthful impetuosity led him to join the United States Air Force. Lebron served as a cartoonist for the base newspaper before joining the Air Forces motion picture unit where he worked with several Disney artists.
Returning to New York, he studied at the Art Students League, whose former students listed Norman Rockwell, Fredric Remington, and Clark Hulings. After a week at the Art Students League, one of his mentors, Reginald Marsh, exclaimed, Kid, you got it!
Later, during a prolonged stay in Spain, Lebron found that above all other artistic tools, the palette knife seemed the most natural. Combining a tremendous drawing ability with his sense of drama, he is able to capture the essence and humor of the street scene. From Paris to Vienna to London, each painting is full of life and tells its own story. prestigious historical paintings depicting the struggles The Donner Party are exhibited in the Emigrant Trail Museum at Donner State Park in Truckee, California.
Ron Howard, Carol Burnett, and Jane Russell are among his many collectors. Lebron supports the many programs of Courage Center, a nonprofit provider of rehabilitation and independent living services, that helps children and adults with disabilities live more independently. Both National Geographic and Cartier's have used Lebrns paintings on their Christmas cards. First Prize at the Washington Square Art Show for his rendition of the beginning construction of the World Trade Center and the Forbes Magazine Award are among his most cherished of the many awards received during a lifetime as a successful artist.
The Robert Lebron logo represents a tiny dog inspired by the comic strip, Dickie Dare, which is present in each painting.

ANATOLY METLAN
Anatoly Metlan was born in 1964 in the Ukraine near the Black Sea. As a child, heenjoyed himself witha paintbrush and the paint which he took from his parents, who alsoenjoyed to paint.As he learned about art, he was particularlydrawn tothe impressionists and their use of color, space and texture. He spent many years perfecting his personal style but his initial regard towards the impressionists always remained with him.
After graduating the local High School of Art in 1985, he was admitted to the Krivoi Rog University, south of Ukraine. During his university years, he exhibited extensively and gradually became a distinguished artist until in 1989 he was accepted to the Artists Guild of Ukraine.
Metlan and his family decided to immigrate to Israel. In the summer months, he still enjoys visiting the villages of France and Italy where he gets his inspiration, and which are so dear to his heart.
His works may also be found in private collections, and enjoy overwhelming recognition.

Jules R. Herve, was born on the 14th April 1887 at Langres, France. He was a pupil at lEcole des Freres. He then enrolled at lEcole Nationale des Arts Decoratifs de Paris, before completing his education at lEcole Superieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris. It was during his education that he was exposed to the work and teachings of Fernand Cormon and Jules Adler. Herve was a painter of figures, landscapes and portraits. However it was for his depictions of parks and ornamental gardens, often including children and fountains that he was best known. His paintings are full of poetry, sensitivity and charm. His use of colour and style are very much reminiscent of the great French Impressionists and show the huge debt he owes to them. Herve achieved a certain amount of notoriety during his own lifetime. He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Francais throughout his career and his work was rewarded with a number of awards. Most notably a Silver Medal at the Salon in 1914 and in 1924 a Gold Medal. Today his work can be found in private collections all over the world. His paintings can also be viewed at museums in his hometown of Langres, Dijon, St Etienne, Casablanca and Chicago

Ruth Neidhart
Ruth Neidhart was born in Basel, Switzerland. She passed through the applied Art School in Basel and graduated with a Diploma with as a Display Artist. Afterwards, she studied in England at the Polytechnic Leeds and took art lessons in Pottery with Renowned Artist Dennis Farell for 9 months. After returning back to Switzerland she started to take lessons in Porcelain Painting, mainly Classical Painting (Meiseen, Nyon) and Doll Making Lessons in several Studios in Switzerland.
In 1988, she opened up her own studio in Switzerland where she was teaching Doll Making and Porcelain Painting.
In 1992 she broadened and expanded her ideas and talent and decided to move toCyprus and began to experiment with New Materials on Porcelain. She also created a Jewelry collection made of Porcelain.
Presently, Ruth likes to express herself by mixing Classic Motives with Modern Techniques . She uses a lot of Precious Materials like Gold, Platinum and Metallic Colours. Her Pictures and Plates are baked up 15 times and takes many months to complete and produce such Oustandingand One of a Kind Masterpieces.

Richard Riverin was born in Quebec City, in 1942. Graduated from Sherbrooke University with a BSc.
degree In Chemistry, he worked for ten years in the formulating of specialty coatings; started his own

Slava Brodinsky-
He was born in Birovigan, Russia in 1955. After serving in the Army, he came back to his hometown and studied at the Fine Art Academy of Birovigan. He finished his studies in 1979 with distinction, working primarily in large- scale art while participating in one-man and group shows throughout Russia.
In 1991, following the collapse of the Soviet Union, he immigrated to Israel with his family whre he started painting again. The unfamiliar light and Colors of in Israel dramatically affected his paintings. Along the landscapes of the Galilee and Parts of Northern Israel, he also travels to Europe, especially to the South of France, Tuscany, and Umbaria in Italy in search of the unique landscapes of the Mediterranean. Brodinsky’s works are unique in the structure of the color, which is raised and built up above the canvas. His original style is created by mixing colors with sand and plaster, then applying it to the canvas with coarse paintbrushes. The range of his color palette reflects the play of light and shadow as affected by the transitions of the seasons of the year.
To date, his works have been widely collected and shown in many shows and exhibitons throughout the World.
